Molly is a senior at the Urban School. She has loved to read ever since she read Harry Potter in the first grade, and she wants to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to find a book that changes their life for the better. In addition to reading, you can often find her acting, singing, or playing sports.

Melody is a senior at Lynbrook High School. In her free time, she enjoys acting and dancing. She actually didn’t have a passion for reading for a while, but through consistent encouragement by her older peers, she finally experienced the peace, calmness, and immersive adventure that books provide. She would love to share such experiences with everyone.

Edward is a sophomore at Lynbrook High School. He enjoys playing tennis, video games, and watching anime. When it comes to reading, he will read almost anything, but he especially likes science fiction and fantasy. Edward believes that everybody should be able to experience the joy of reading and being completely enveloped in a story.

Rhea is a senior at Homestead High School and her favorite subjects include history and law. In her spare time she likes painting, reading, and playing piano. She believes that books have immense power and they can transport you and expose you to new thoughts and ideas. Her goal is to make books easily accessible for all.

Thrisha is a senior at University Prep Academy. She loves to sing Hindustani Classical Music and volunteer with nonprofits. Her passion for reading started when she read the Harry Potter series 8 times in second grade. She believes that access to books is something no one should ever be denied of and hopes to help other kids find their way through literature.

Alex is a junior at Saratoga High School. His favorite subjects are Math and Music Theory. He enjoys practicing archery and composing in his free time. He believes reading is a great way to broaden your horizons in the sense that it expands your imagination.

Brian is a senior at Palo Alto High School. His dream is to become capable of flying in the space someday in future, where he can reach and sit on a meteor, staring into the galaxy. He likes reading because books expand and fuel his imagination.

Favorite book: Lord of the Flies (William Golding)

Nicholas is a junior at The Harker School. He is greatly drawn to the classics as he reads the works of Roman authors, which offer surprisingly acute observations of the world that are often still relevant today. Much as he finds a deep fascination in exploring ancient minds, Nicholas also greatly enjoys telling the stories of others in journalism.

Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)

Katie is a senior at Southlake Carroll High School. The subjects she enjoyed learning about the most are Biology and World History. She enjoys competing in Vex Robotics, playing the piano, and bullet journaling during her free time. She believes that books are not only important sources for knowledge, but also sources that teach us vital life lessons.
